π Competition Overview How much do you really know about the area around you? Most people walk past fascinating places, hidden stories, unique landmarks, and interesting details every day without noticing them. The Neighborhood Explorer Challenge encourages students to become curious explorers and discover something remarkable in their own community. π― The Mission Find one interesting place, object, building, landmark, business, piece of nature, artwork, or hidden gem within your neighborhood. Your goal is to investigate it and explain: What it is, Why it is interesting, What makes it unique, What you learned from exploring it Think like a detective, journalist, historian, or scientist. You might choose: A historic building, An old tree, mural or piece of public art, local park, library, unique shop, monument, community garden, bridge, hidden pathway, local, landmark, place with an interesting story, etc. The more unusual and interesting, the better! Part 1 : Photo β Take at least one clear photograph of your chosen location or object. Part 2: Descriptionβ Write 150β300 words explaining: What you discovered, Why you chose it, What makes it special, What surprised you most Part 3: Fun Factβ Include one interesting fact that most people would not know. π Judging Criteria π Observation Skills (25%) Did you notice something unique and interesting? π Storytelling (25%) How well did you explain your discovery? π‘ Curiosity & Research (25%) Did you investigate beyond what is immediately visible? πΈ Presentation (25%) Quality of photo and overall submission. β Bonus Challenge(5%) Give us your favourite IQGradeUp Blog Post and summarize it in less than 50 words π Why Participate?
